verandah net
a net designed to trap leaping fish with a vertical component as a barrier and a verandah or floating component (sometimes a trammel net) to catch the fish as they try to leap over the barrier. The barrier can be set in a straight line or in an open circle shape, or may be set from two boats to encircle a school
